Optimism "InSpite Of"

Having optimism "InSpite Of" can be very difficult at times.  Optimism is the tendency to expect the best possible outcome for any situation.  To have optimism, you must also have faith, that things will work out for your good.  To have faith, you must believe that God is on your side and wanting the best for you.  You must also want the best for you.

We humans can become set in our ways when it comes to dealing with certain things.  What we need to do is to allow ourselves the privilege of change.  Change within ourselves allows for change around us, which allows for different outcomes to situations.  Being stuck in the same routine can produce same results.  What is needed is optimism and faith that if we change ourselves, we can change situations, therefore change outcomes.

While writing this blog, I ran into a problem that seems to have no way out.  My initial reaction was to tell myself that I couldn't continue to write about optimism when I couldn't see a good outcome to this particular problem.  What I did instead, was to tell myself that if I change my way of thinking, something good would come from this.  Optimism is the best thing to have, along with faith in what you are doing and continue on without hesitation, because something will come to mind that will change your situation and change the way you look at things.  So my hope is that you will continue to have optimism "InSpite Of".

Moving On "InSpite Of"

What I have discovered is that people of all ages are in need of encouragement and motivation.  Young Professionals need this because as they are starting out, they will come up against many obstacles and stumbling blocks which will frustrate and discourage them.  Older professionals also need encouragement and motivation because they may be starting over again.  With the joblessness increasing and many who have been in jobs for half their lives have to begin again.  The difference with this group is that they have more at stake than those just starting out.  They have built homes and families and hope for the future.  These people also need encouragement and motivation to remain optimistic about their futures.  To this group of people I say, press on “InSpite Of”.

Take whatever that has been thrown in your path and use it to grow and flourish.  Don’t let loss of a job get in your way.  Take this opportunity to start your own business or partner with someone in their business.  Allow your dreams to come to fruition, and stop procrastinating about realizing your dreams.   Many who have had dreams about what they want out of life have put those dreams on hold, in order to take care of responsibilities.  Pull those dreams off of the shelf, dust them off, and begin to dream again.  Loss of employment doesn’t have to be the end of the world.  It could be the start of something much bigger than you imagined.  Just get started, move forward with momentum and see how far you can go.  Make it happen, “InSpite Of”.

Living InSpiteOf

With today's economic problems, unemployment rates and other social problems going on, it's easy to see why some may find it hard to live happy and useful lives.  They go through the motions of surviving, but find no real joy or satisfaction.  Some may even blame others for their predicaments and never look inward to find root causes of their feelings.

What many need to do is to exercise their faith. Faith being the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen.  What that means is that people should look for their passion in life, their God given dreams and push toward the goal of fulfilling them.  Along with faith, they need motivation and belief that they can make it through despite all obstacles and challenges put in their way.  People also need to realize that nothing in this life is a given, except for a select few, and should expect failures and restarts until they get it right.
Without faith, many give up when the first obstacle is placed in their path.  They think that maybe whatever it was they started may not have been meant for them, but the truth is that if it was a passion or a God given dream of theirs, it was meant for them.  Don't give up when the first obstacle confronts you.  Press on to the mark, and you will find fulfillment in your life.  Find others who may have the same passions and dreams and combine efforts to get there.  And above all, ask God to be with you as you travel the unknown roads of life and happiness, and have faith that He will be with you always.  YP's make it happen "InSpite Of".

Exercising IN SPITE Of

Some people, when it comes to exercising, find all kinds of excuses not to.  They don't have time, they are too tired, or they are just not motivated.  I have found that I have used these same excuses to get out of exercising, but I have also realized that by not exercising I limit my abilities to do other things.  What I have found is that exercise releases stress, enables your mind to work better, allows you to sleep better, makes you look better, and gives you the energy you need to make it through your day.

To counteract my excuses, I have started exercise classes at my church.  I am not saying that you should do the same, but when you are responsible for others to get their weekly exercise, you are not allowed to have excuses.  When you are motivating others, you motivate yourself and you along with your class reap the benefits of exercising your mind, body and soul.  You achieve your goals, along with helping others achieve their goals, and you have accomplished one of the things we are to do in this life, help others.  My way of helping others is to allow them to feel better about themselves, and that is great motivation for everyone involved. When others feel good about themselves, they project that feeling into whatever they do in their lives.  They treat people with goodness, they work better and they seem to be happier people all around.

So, if you are one of those people who knows they need exercise, but come up with excuses, I want to say that you need to exercise INSPITE OF.  Join a gym, gather a few friends and walk, set aside a set number of minutes per week.  There are so many exercise tapes, groups and facilities out there to get you going.  What are you waiting for. YPs Stand UP!

Making It Happen InSpiteOf...

inspiteof

It always amazes me, when I think about how many people in the world are unhappy and/or not attempting to follow their dreams. There are way too many people and too many resources, to match, for there not to be more individual success in the world. Individuals go to work day in and day out, and surprisingly enough, get nothing from it but a paycheck. It is the human mind's natural function to always be thinking/dreaming/contemplating. So I refuse to believe that everyone in the world does not have the same thoughts of achieving a better life for themselves.

The problem is that most people let their lives become consumed with excuses(or reasons as some call them) why they cannot achieve better results from life. For every human being underachieving in the world, there are hundreds of excuses for why they are doing so. A previous coworker of mine, gave me this one important piece of advice when I began working with him. He told me that I had to make it happen "INSPITE OF." He may not have even known how much those words have stayed with me. Those words have helped me get through some tough times and even more so, have helped me make the best of some already good situations. What those words mean is that, no matter what obstacles you may face or how many excuses you can come up with to fail; you must always find a way to succeed. You must make it happen "INSPITE OF."

Throughout the history of the world, there have been people who have overcame some of the toughest situations in order to become great or just happy in life, in general. We as people, tend to get into the habit of feeling sorry for ourselves. Feeling sorry for oneself, is never the recipe for success. In fact, that can only hinder your growth. If you get into the habit of feeling like you are owed something, then you will never work to actually get it. The world is not going to give us anything. There are billions of people in the world and very few have actually lucked up into finding success. If you want something, you have to go out and claim it. You must make it happen "INSPITE OF."

Do not get me wrong! We all face hard times and trying situations. However, the world does not stop when we are going through those times. Growing up in a one parent household, is not an excuse to fail. Losing your job, is not an excuse to fail. Losing a loved one, is not an excuse to fail. Not liking your job, is not an excuse to fail. Not getting along with your boss, is not an excuse to fail. Being homeless, is not an excuse to fail. Fighting addiction, is not an excuse to fail. Fighting your hardships alone, is not an excuse to fail. Having an unplanned pregnancy, is not a reason to fail. We all have to make it happen "INSPITE OF."

The bottom line is that, we are all responsible for what we want out of life. If you are not happy, than you need to find out what makes you happy, and do that. If you are not achieving success, than it is your responsibility to go out and create success for yourself. The world will go on and we must find a way to keep ourselves going, "INSPITE OF." YPs I am challenging all of you, to go out and MAKE IT HAPPEN "INSPITE OF!!!!!"
